Veronica was in a difficult place when she began practicing as a Legal Nurse. She had just been diagnosed with a latex allergy, which prevented her from working as a nurse in the ER. Her mother had terminal cancer and Veronica was in the process of getting a divorce. She needed to change the direction of her life, and she did it. She became a Legal Nurse and the rest is history.
What is going on in your life?
• Marriage?
• Family commitments?
• Illness?
• Raising your family?
• Divorce?
• Work?
• Out of work?
One of our teams of Legal Nurses was in a similar situation. They had taken another Legal Nurse course, and were unable to get any cases. They tried for about six months, and, when they were about to declare bankruptcy, then called Veronica. They took the LNC STAT class, and began to work hard. Now, several years later, they have:
• Successfully bid and won a famous set of class action lawsuits (we can not disclose the name until they are settled)
• Settled the landmark Zyprexa cases
• Established themselves with several of the most prominent class action law firms in the US
• Have 59 nurses working under them in their company
• One of the most successful Legal Nurse teams currently practicing in the US
These days Veronica is pretty busy. She has just finished her second article for the Medical Legal Journal in the UK. This publication is educating many regions of Europe about the Legal Nurse career field. She is also preparing to shoot a television show about her life story and RN Market during the July Indulge Conference. All of this has occurred because Veronica made the decision to increase her skills and work hard to be a success.
The name of the most recent article was "The Last Word." Ask any of our nurses why Veronica named it that, and they will most likely reply, "because it's the last course I had to take before I became a successful Legal Nurse."
The next steps to take are very easy....
1. Don't put it off any longer!
2. Choose your learning method: Online classes, DVD, iPod, Live class
3. Call RN Market today or book online: 1-866-933-2562 or www.RNMarket.com.

Latex Allergy Awareness
Most of RN MARKET's clients know about Veronica's hypersensitivity to natural Latex. However, Veronica is not the only one dealing with this type of hypersensitivity to natural Latex. According to the American Latex Allergy Association, 8-17% of healthcare workers and 68% of children with spina bifida and people undergoing multiple surgeries are allergic to natural Latex. That totals less than 1% of the general public in the US. However, that 1% is about 3 million people. These statistics are outdated but that is still a pretty significant amount of people to suffer with this allergy. Yet, nothing has been done by lawmaking bodies. Current statistics would show more people suffering from this allergy. Many Latex allergy cases still go undiagnosed. Because RN MARKET's clientele is healthcare industry workers, a large majority of those clients suffer from the same type of allergy as Veronica.
Because of the large number of people getting severe reactions to natural Latex, Ryan and Veronica decided to do their part in educating the general public and law makers of the effects of Latex overexposure and why there needs to be a change in the way Latex is used. This is why LatexAllergyInfo.com was created.
Visit the new site below for latex allergy information and to join the cause to make a difference in the way Latex is used. Get information about prevention and treatment of Latex allergies. Sign the petition for change and tell your latex allergy story. There is no cost to use it!

Successful Legal Nurse Interviewing Tips
According to the University of Illinois Extension statistics, first impressions are formed within seconds of meeting someone new. It breaks down to these three main factors;
55% Appearance and Body Language
38% Tone of Your Voice
7% What You Say
We have been hearing some feedback from attorney-nurse interviews, and wanted to pass that information along to you. The first impression is critical to be able to impress the attorney and assure him or her that you are competent, efficient and able to help them understand their medical-legal cases.
Don’t Wear Your Hospital Scrubs
The Legal Nurse needs to dress for the part you want to be hired for. In other words, do not arrive to the interview in your scrubs, or other hospital attire. Failing to do so may send a message to the attorney that you don’t have time management skills to complete the task of dressing for an interview. Consequently, he or she may think that perhaps you do not have time to work effectively on the cases either.
Be Completely Organized
Nothing is worse during an interview than not being able to find the report you are talking about with the attorney, or having to shuffle through papers and notes to present your SmartDraw illustrations. When Veronica presents herself to an attorney, she uses a presentation folder that has a large label with her company logo on it. It looks extremely professional and put together, and shows the attorney that her company is to be taken seriously. Her label has the design that matches her business cards and company design. This type of presentation gets results, and has been utilized by Veronica over the years after many trial and errors of other ways to present your information.
Presentation Folder
(100 count with shipping, various colors): $190
Large Presentation Labels
(252 count, printed with Logo and shipping): $70
Nothing to be Nervous About
By controlling your body language, you can appear more self confident and relaxed. Many nurses are extremely nervous when meeting with the attorney, when they should be happy and excited to be meeting with their next potential case. Smiling, without being silly, is one of the best ways to break the ice and let your own personality shine through. Be aware of your body language. Do you tend to pick at your nails? Do you get itchy when you are nervous? When meeting with the attorney, be fully present in that moment. Put the distractions in your life out of your mind. Sit slightly foreword on your chair and have both feet on the floor. If you need to, you can cross your ankles, and remember to keep good eye contact.
If you would like help with your interviewing skills, th LN STAT certification course offers interactive interviewing practice to hlp you build your confidence. Also available are Live One-On-One Internships with Veronica.

There's nothing like the real thing baby!
I have been trying to do my legal nurse consulting business for the last 7
or 8 years. I attended seminars, went to school and bought tapes and books,
all resulting in very limited or no success!!!.... Enter Veronica and RN
Market. Studying real cases, sitting and critiquing with a real attorney. It
was challenging, fun, rewarding, but mostly confidence building!!! I went to
Veronica's in Nov and Dec and already have MANY leads and two cases!

Legal Nurse Credibility
Last month Jeff and Amanda returned from a business trip to London. They had been commissioned to write an article for a Medical Legal Journal and an article for an international newsletter on Legal Nurse Consulting. They traveled to London to conduct further research and interview some solicitors (attorneys) for the writings. They also met with several information security firms to determine how best Legal Nurses should protect themselves and their work product when consulting in the United States and the United Kingdom.
During the fact-finding mission, many nurses and solicitors were impressed with how Legal Nurses were trained to analyze medical records and assist in legal cases. They have been using doctors to consult on their medical legal cases, and have never considered using the consulting skills of a nurse, besides cases that involve nurse negligence. It was a new and innovative idea for them to consider changing the way they consult on cases.
When Amanda and Jeff returned from their trip, they completed the articles and turned them in. The article for X Pro was published and the response has been immediate. They have been asked to write additional articles, which we are working on now.
The second article has had the best response so far. The Medical Legal Journal that is publishing the article has asked Veronica to write an ongoing blog about the daily events in her life as a Legal Nurse! The United Kingdom will be able to keep up with Veronica's cases and the exciting events that are occurring at RN Market. Technology is enabling the U.K. to learn about Legal Nurse Consulting at a record pace, as they will have interactive capabilities with the blog article. Nurses from around the world can comment and ask Veronica questions directly through this blog. Undoubtedly, many doors will be opening for the Legal Nurse as a direct result of the writings for these two publications. Stay tuned to hear about new cases and new opportunities that are coming up for us in the next year.
